The Vancouver Sun published an article that raises a few important questions about the flu vaccines that are recommended to the old or sick.
In the early weeks of the 2009 flu pandemic, researchers found:
“that people who got a flu shot for the 2008-09 winter seemed to be more likely to get infected with the pandemic virus than people who hadn't received a flu shot.”
While the results of this study were widely dismissed as a Canadian problem (maybe due to their version of the vaccine), a later study has confirmed the problem by replicating the problem in ferrets.
