The global healing center have written an interesting article on herbs that may accelerate weight loss.
The first one is Hoodia gordonii. I am sure you have heard of this one. I remember a lot of spam emails that I received with this particular herb at the center of them. Hoodia is apparently used by hunters in desert regions of Africa to reduce cravings for food.
The second herb is Damiana which comes from the West Indies, Mexico and Central America. Whether the weight loss seen with this herb is through water loss or fat is debatable. However, according to the article, there is evidence that it may stay in your stomach for longer so keep you feeling full.
The third herb is the African herb Gymnema. It may work by curbing sugar cravings.
Kelp is in at number 4. This seaweed is high in iodine, which is great for thyroid help. Keeping the thyroid healthy can of course prevent weight gain through thyroid problems. However, I would recommend that you check where your Kelp is coming from. In a video I saw recently, a study showed that 50% of kelp tested contained heavy metal pollutants, and high levels of bromide that can affect your bodies iodine levels.
The last one in the article is green coffee bean. This is a new one to me, though I have had a lot of spam emails with green coffee bean in the subject line. In a study, people taking green coffee bean supplements lost 17 pounds over a 12 week period. You can get green coffee bean extract from Amazon.
