Juice for a cold

Sharing is caring!

Colds are caused by rhinoviruses that infect the upper respiratory tract.  There are a number of fruit and vegetables that have anti-viral properties, including apples, garlic and ginger.  While those three dont mix well in a single juice, I do like apple and ginger as a combination.

Ingredients

  • 3 granny smith apples
  • 1 inch of ginger
  • small bunch of parsley

Juice the ingredients and drink at the first sign of a cold.

The parsley is added to the jucie for a boost in vitamin C as well as bioflavanoids, zinc and other essential minerals.

I'd also recommend taking a teaspoon of bee pollen as an additional supplement.  I find that taking bee pollen regularly keeps colds and flu away.
